Mine is a general psychotherapy practice in which I pay special attention to alternate sex and gender concerns or to people living lifestyles involving those concerns. I work extensively with people of all identities and orientations in the leather fetish and transgender communities and have spoken and/or published widely in these areas. I also work with anxiety depression shame and guilt any of which may be concerns for people who have often been characterized as outsiders in society. An interest in alternate sex or gender matters frequently concerns significant other people such as romantic and erotic partners parents siblings children friends and colleagues. As a licensed marriage and family therapist I am experienced working with couples menages and other small groups to seek satisfactory outcomes for all parties when different people's needs seem to be in conflict. I do not work with minors (under 18 years of age) but I refer to other professionals who do. I am willing to respond to email initially but since there is nothing like face-to-face contact I encourage people who are reasonably satisfied with a first email contact to telephone me for further discussions. My book Consensual Sadomasochism: How to Talk About It and How to Do It Safely (co-authored with Sybil Holiday CCHT) is available through Daedalus Publishing Company. Some of my other publications include: ""Infantilism: Clinical Diagnosis and Practical Explication"" (CliniScope Clinical Monograph #4 American Academy of Clinical Sexologists 1997) ""Multiple Personality Order: An Alternate Paradigm for Understanding Cross-Gender Behavior."" in New Concepts in Cross-Gender Identity: An Interdisciplinary Approach edited by Dallas Denny (Philadelphia: Garland Publishers 1997) ""Am I A Sexual Minority?"" A Special Issue of Growing Pains (Society of Janus San Francisco CA January 1997). For further information please phone or visit my website"""
