"Be curious, not judgmental." - Walt Whitman
That is the motto of my counselling practice. In a friendly, respectful, nurturing environment, I guide clients on journeys of self-discovery where they explore what matters most. No one is alone. Healing happens through connection.
Business Description

I am a Registered Clinical Social Worker (RCSW) who holds a master's degree from Bryn Mawr Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research. I see clients at my office on Broadway near Burrard as well as virtually online. I have been practicing psychotherapy with a diverse range of clients and concerns since 2002. As a lover of lifelong learning, I continually develop my professional skills and stay on the cutting edge of best counselling practices.

Are you feeling stuck? Is your life out of balance? Would you like to experience more joy, passion, productivity, and fun? In a friendly, respectful, nurturing environment, I will guide you on a journey of self-discovery where you can explore what matters most. Whatever is blocking your potential - fear of failure, fear of missing out, sexual concerns, or just plain stressful living - I will collaboratively engage you in establishing meaningful goals for treatment and recovery. Using creative strategies and practical techniques, I will help you learn to successfully navigate the ups and downs of life so you can create more balance and connection in your work, relationships, and communities.

I provide respectful, compassionate counselling for individuals. Life can be challenging. Everyone is doing the best that they can given their situation, and everyone can learn, improve, and do better. My aim is to help you identify what is most important, so you can make skillful life choices honouring your values.

We all have many parts of our personality that influence our thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. Sometimes our productive, organized parts are in charge; other times our lazy, chaotic parts take over. Rather than judge some parts as unhealthy, consider that all of your parts were once creative adaptations to help you survive in your environment.

Therapy offers the opportunity to revisit your different parts and get to know them better. Rather than reject those parts that are no longer helpful in your current situation, we welcome all of your parts. Healing comes though integrating your parts so they can work in harmony. By cultivating a nurturing, nonjudgmental therapy relationship, we will learn to understand, accept, and befriend your parts so they can better serve you.

We might work to quiet a harsh inner critic, manage fears, identify barriers to success in work or relationships, or build your interpersonal effectiveness. Healing happens through connection. My goal is to create a safe, comfortable space with you to explore whatever you need to cultivate a meaningful life.
