As a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern, under supervision, I am an sex-positive, empathetic, and resourceful counselor and I am part of the kink and poly communities in Los Angeles. I have lived in Paris, worked in several education-based sex stores, and teach sex-positivity to clinicians and the general public. All these experiences have combined to make me a advocate for authentic expression. I am committed to creating a safe environment to explore the frontiers of sexuality, intimacy, and culture. I seek to collaborate with you and assist you to re-design and enhance your relationship to yourself and others. Often, a client comes in for one issue, and after closer examination, comes to realize that their challenges/distress are linked to ways of being that no longer work or only work at the cost of the client's relationships. I believe one of the goals of therapy is not to rid oneself of these "defenses", but to give a voice to what they are trying to protect you from and appreciate that they developed for good reasons. In our work together, we can find ways to see fear, resentment, and anger as signals and develop ways to take care of yourself that are based on self-compassion and embracing your complexity and the complexity of others.
