I treat Trauma, Addiction, and major life disruptions of all kinds. As a neuro-diverse person myself, I know what it's like to be in the client's seat as well as the therapist side of the room. Nothing can be more devastating than hitting the wall and not understanding why, or how to change direction. If you know what it's like to have symptoms or make mistakes that feel like they wreck you, we should talk! I can help.
One thing that kills the process of therapy is judgement or lack of awareness that people are different, and that differences in patterns of relationships, passions, preference, and interests are positive. We aren't good despite our differences, but because of them. Many of my clients who are Poly, for example, face subtle or overt bias from therapists. You won't ever find that in my office.
I use Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, and somatic techniques to impact emotional reactions in session, and CBT and DBT skill building as well. You will never be judged for anything that has happened to you or choices you have made. Sex positive, kink-aware & friendly, LBGTQA ally. Honestly it is a bad mark on the filed that any therapists aren't all of those things, but I guess that is how it is.
