I am a psychotherapist, a holistic health practitioner, and certified massage therapist in California. I have been working with people and their health and bodies for over 20 years. I worked for eight years in community mental health, serving individuals with severe mental illness. I am a trainer of sexual health conversations in but not limited to, mental health and addiction for the County of San Diego. I am an adjunct faculty member in the graduate program, teaching Clinical Counseling at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine and at the Portland Community College teaching an on-line synchronous class in sexual health conversations for drug and alcohol treatment. I was a faculty member at Mueller Collage of Holistic Studies for 10 years. My private practice is in Hillcrest in San Diego, CA.
I have degrees in Business, Computers, Counseling Psychology, Exercise Science, and certificates in many forms of bodywork.
I am grateful for the work I do and after more than twenty years of working with people, their health, bodies, and psyche, I continue to enjoy my work as much as ever. Being a therapist is a unique privilege that enables me to know others in ways that we seldom do in life. Working with clients has taught me many things including compassion, appreciation, and humility regarding the human condition, and I am encouraged with our ability to grow and change.
In my work and life I integrate wisdom from the East, West and native traditions into my daily life, clinical practice and teaching. Bringing together body and mind to be in service to help heal from pain and opening to growth; these are driving intentions of my work and life. It is my intention to help clients and students grow in ways that increase their happiness and the quality of their relationships to self, others, and life.
It is my hope, dream, and fantasy that you be more playful in the world, enjoying who you are, and what you do. That you are able to live a passionate life, filled with love, compassion, and curiosity for the possibilities
