Non-Mainstream Individual and Family Therapist

I am a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) who provides psychotherapy to children, partners/couples, and families. I have a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology and my undergrad work included Child Development/Early Childhood Education. My interest is in providing therapy to enhance your knowledge and experience of self and others. I was raised in rural Iowa, and spent 20 years in California where I was an active member of various queer, non-monogamy/poly/relationship anarchy, and kink communities. I created and led several support groups for non-mainstream families, couples, and individuals. I am also experienced in multi-ethnic families, adoption, and step-parents. My approach to therapy combines addressing the underlying dynamics that has created the current situation and realistic direction on how to navigate specific challenges. Together, we create a safe space of acceptance and support to explore the joys and trials of living a unique and valuable non-mainstream existence.
