Business Excerpt
I provide individual psychotherapy to adults and adolescents. I am a kink aware professional and have worked with several clients involved in the lifestyle. I have an open and nonjudgemental approach, and come from a sex positive perspective. I am also well versed in the issues and needs the individuals have that are in relationships involving various forms of consensual nonmonogamy. I believe that one's sexuality is a core part of one's identity, and that embracing one's sexual identity is essential to living a healthy and happy life. I specialize in working with individuals that have experienced personal shame around their desires and proclivities, whether from religious upbringing, society in general, or personal social rejection. I identify as a psychodynamic therapist, meaning that I believe in thorough and deep exploration of needs individually and relationally, rather than only working on surface issues. I have significant experience working with other health professionals as clients, including mental health professionals. I see the therapist/client relationship as a team effort, and approach all of my work from a relational perspective. I have training in the neurobiology of attachment. I also have training in EMDR, which I see as an essential tool for working through trauma, and an aid in addressing issues of jealousy and insecurity associated with relationship trauma. I have experience working with the following issues: Polyamory BDSM Religion and Sexuality Transgender and Gender Non-Binary Needs Trauma Jealousy in Nonmonogamy Poly/Mono Relationships Opening Up
