I am a member of the Key Recovery treatment team of substance/addiction professionals. We us a multidisciplinary approach on an outpatient basis with a large population of persons in recovery as they attempt to move beyond various substance and process addictions. Our main focus is substance use/addiction recovery. Our staff is LGBTQ trained. I am the current LGBTQ adult therapist. As a member of the LGBTQ community, I am also very aware of the processes related living a "closeted" life, coming out, maturing/aging in the community, and I'm also kink aware/accepting. I have a professional and personal commitment to the non-judgemental stance which is vital for all people in recovery seeking treatment. I find it is even more so for people in the LGBTQI community, and people who identify with a kink lifestyle. My work has required an understanding of the BDSM lifestyle and its community (mostly) amongst gay males. My regular duties include intake evaluations, insurance authorizations and reauthorizations as needed. Completion of all required intake/referral documentation including PA State PCPC forms, treatment planning, biopsychosocial assessments, and seeking higher level of care (bed search) as needed. Running intensive outpatient (IOP) and outpatient substance abuse treatment groups of various sizes.Assigned as key liaison with Delaware County Probation, Drug Treatment Court jail diversion program (forensic care and case management). Additionally, I am fully trained as a Dialectical Behavioral Therapy clinician, and provide related skills group and individual therapy. Helped develop outpatient DUI Therapy program curriculum for Key Recovery. 2016 - Trained in LGBTQI clinical care and helped develop an outpatient substance use disorder treatment track for this population. This includes training, marketing, developing a collateral provider network (for referrals), and providing direct group and individual therapy. Additional duties as needed related to providing therapy and case management with adults recovery from substance use disorder including individual therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, and contact with Probation/Parole Officers and other client-related collateral contacts.
