Hi! I'm Anna Halliday (she/her), a Licensed Mental Health Counselor practicing in-person therapy in the Miami area and remotely with Florida and New York residents through Teletherapy. I counsel clients from a dynamic, identity-affirmative approach utilizing warmth, compassion and acceptance. I enjoy helping clients develop a unique voice in which to frame their personal life narrative. I view this as essential for effecting change, growth, and self-actualization. I believe in a holistic path to healing that integrates therapy with balanced sleeping and eating patterns, self-care, and physical movement to promote wellness.
I earned Masters degrees in Mental Health Counseling at Teachers College, Columbia University. I have training and experience working with culturally diverse and marginalized populations coping with trauma, loss, poverty, substance use, and mental illness. I am passionate about providing therapy for LGBTQIA+ individuals and have a background in couples/family therapy, as well. Some of my areas of speciality include:
