I am a cis (AFAB), bisexual, demisexual, polyamorous woman. Pronouns are she/her.
Obviously, it's not always possible/feasible for everyone, but I firmly believe in couples/triads/solo-poly/individuals/whoever being in some type of therapy with someone who is very knowledgeable on the subject, and won't pathologize the lifestyle. Also, I encourage all of my clients to learn their enneagram types as a way to increase self-awareness, communication between partners, and catch potential problems before they arise. I think the healing that comes with good therapy is pretty damn vital in the polyam community; I've seen so many relationships suffer due to unprocessed trauma, deep insecurities, and lack of self-awareness.
