Individual and Group Advising and Coaching sessions available.
The team at Asylum Advising has experience working with clients along the entire socioeconomic spectrum, from the unhoused residing in jails and institutions to those engaged at internationally renowned addiction rehab centers. Our advisors are proud members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and are also highly familiar with the specialized experiences and concerns that are present in the non-monogamous/kink communities. Our skills in addressing the adverse experiences these communities face, come from a combination of lived experience and professional education and experience. They also have a keen passion for and specialty in developmental/ancestral trauma. Not only because they are members of the LGBTQIA+ community that has experienced historical trauma, but also because Ms. Brei in particular has extensive professional experience working with incarcerated populations where she was faced with the reality of the need for racial justice. Kara Jean has long been an advocate and an ally in the social work necessary to make an instrumental change to institutions with a history of injustice. Our advisors identify as a part of the neurodivergent community, as well as the recovery community, and can work with people who are facing any type of ADD or identify as on the spectrum of neurodivergency. Our lived experience, education, and professional experience have taught us to be versatile and effective with optimizing the well-being of all populations.
