About Me:
I identify as a white-bodied queer, intersex, neurodivergent femme with Italian and Jewish ancestry. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have worked in the mental health field since 2012. I received a master’s degree in social work from the University of California, Berkeley, in 2015 and my roots are in school and hospital-based community mental health work with adolescents and their families. Most recently, I worked as the Clinical Director at an organization in Concord facilitating trainings and running psycho-educational groups for intellectually disabled and neurodivergent adults. I am now expanding my practice dedicated to serving fellow members of the queer, neurodivergent and disabled communities!
About My Practice:
I believe that all therapy is political, and that oppression is a form of trauma. I am a good fit for queer folks working on issues related to gender identity, sexual identity development and self-worth as well as neurodivergent folks around unmasking, navigating the sensory world and re-claiming their authentic selves. I am also a great match for LGBTQQIA and neurodivergent youth and have experience working with caregivers and navigating school systems. I also enjoy working with folks who identify as kinky or non-monogamous or who are curious about exploring these identities. Additionally, I welcome white folks who are looking to explore how white supremacy has shaped them and are interested in getting support in their journey towards anti-racism. I take a holistic mind-body-spirit approach to therapy and bring tools from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), somatic techniques, and an attachment focused approach to assist folks in their healing process.
Kink and Non-Monogamy
Healthy relationships come in many forms! There are still many therapists that believe your relationship structure or kink orientation means you struggle with attachment, lack clear boundaries, insight or believe that you are playing out harmful power dynamics. I am not one of them!
I offer a non-judgmental space in my work with individuals who are in non-monogamous relationship structures or who are considering opening up their relationship as well as exploring kink and BDSM. I bring the values of consent, non-judgment, and curiosity to support clients with exploring their sexual and romantic desires and the relationship structures that work for them. As a therapist, I believe it is not my place to have an agenda but to assist you with finding the relationship structure that feels in alignment for you. I do not work with couples currently but am happy to refer you to an affirming couple’s therapist to complement our work together!
