I am a straight, white, cisgender female therapist with a trauma-informed, sex-positive, and body affirming approach. I help clients identify, acknowledge, and work with difficult feelings, thoughts, memories, and relationships, while honoring each person's individuality, intuition, unique strengths, and personal goals and aspirations they have identified for themselves. As a music therapist, I also explore meaningful songs, music-based imagery and relaxation exercises, and music for self-care with clients who are interested. I am committed to resisting discrimination and oppression in any form. I celebrate size diversity, LGBTQ+ identities, disability inclusivity, and cultural humility, and am kink and poly friendly. I advocate for the research and development of alternative treatments for chronic depression, anxiety, and PTSD, including psychedelic assisted therapy. I am licensed in Illinois and Iowa, and provide virtual (telehealth) therapy sessions in both states, and in-person sessions in North Liberty, IA. I provide individual therapy in English to young adults, adults, and older adults.
