Dr. King is an assistant professor at William James College. She is a project lead on the APA's Division 44 Committee on Consensual Non-Monogamy. She has received continuing education on sexuality, non-monogamy, and kink through the Sexual Health Alliance, American Psychological Association, and the Community/Academic Consortium for Research on Alternative Sexualities (CARAS). She is involved in research on sexual configuration theory, kink, and nonmonogamy.
Katherine King, PsyD is a licensed psychologist providing individual and couples therapy in Massachusetts, and coaching/consultation nationally. She helps clients exploring nonmonogamies (polyamory, swinging, relationship anarchy, soly poly); gender identity, particularly gender expansive/nonbinary identities; asexuality; sexual identity/orientation; consent and scene negotiation; BDSM, cuckolding, and other kink activities. She also has advanced specialty training in geropsychology and helps individuals with concerns related to aging, grief, retirement, chronic illness, anxiety, codependency, and trauma.
