I work with my clients to build trust and create a space which feels safe enough to explore whatever you think is important. It is always up to you to set the agenda.
I offer weekly face-to-face sessions in Oxford and Faringdon (Oxfordshire).
I welcome people of all gender identities, sexual practices and orientations, and relationship structures, and I am kink and poly knowledgable.
I work with a wide range of issues, including trauma, abuse, anxiety, self-harm, dissociation, disordered eating, difficulty relating to others, and struggling to find meaning in life. I work with my clients to build trust and create a space which feels safe enough to explore whatever you think is important. It is always up to you to set the agenda.
My practice is psychodynamic, trauma-informed, and influenced by critical queer and race theory, and feminism. This means that I believe in the value of paying attention to what might be going on ‘under the surface’ in ourselves, in our relationships, and in social groups, as well as to our conscious thought processes and choices.
I work hard to practise in an anti-oppressive way, which means I actively explore my power and privilege, and what that brings to bear on my actions and words, both in and outside the consulting room.
I have a certificate in psychodynamic counselling, and have recently completed a diploma in psychodynamic practice. I also have many years’ experience of activism and work with survivors of sexual violence, and in queer and kink communities.
I am registered with the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society.
