Business Description

I am passionate in supporting people to find more freedom in their lives and to reconnect to their own natural capacities for healing. I have over a decade of experience in creative, mind-body and anti-oppression psychotherapies, and have expertise in working with complex chronic illness, trauma, LGBTQ+ folks, neurodivergence, and those experiencing social marginalization. My practice offers a gentle, inquisitive, and embodied approach to psychotherapy. Giving voice to the narratives of our bodies, hearts, and minds we can identify both the stories you currently live by and opportunities to write new and vibrant chapters.

My background is both in clinical psychology and creative arts. Guided by my own experience with chronic pain, I completed a PhD in Clinical Health Psychology and advanced training in integrative, mind-body psychotherapy at Vanderbilt University Medical Center's Osher Center for Integrative Health. I have decades of experience in various performing arts; I believe the arts have a great deal to teach us about healing and bring this knowledge into my clinical work. I am experienced and affirming to those who practice kink and practice diverse relationship styles (ENM, polyamory, RA, etc.)

Research and Teaching Academically, I study pain in multiple contexts. My neuroscience research focuses on experiences that shift our perception of pain, and my artistic research explores how pain is performed in everyday lives and on the stage.

I teach mindfulness meditation to support wellbeing in professional contexts for diverse groups and organizations. Inquire for more information.
