Family practice group affiliated with local hospital. Primary practitioner, Anthony Mowrey DNP, FNP-BC, ENP-C, is a doctorally prepared nurse practitioner (NP) with dual board-certifications in Family and Emergency Medicine. Earned BSN from the University of Southern California (USC) in 2001, and went on to complete his MSN-FNP from USC as well, in 2003. He later returned to school to earn his Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) from the California State University-Fullerton in 2018.
He has spent a total of 30 years in the practice of medicine since reaching 18. First, he spent 10 years in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) in Los Angeles, CA and, as an emergency room technician in various Los Angeles area Emergency Departments (ED). After earning his BSN, he became an RN in the ED for 2 years, until completing his MSN in 2003. At that point, he began an 18 year career as a provider in California EDs. He moved to Utah for a more low key life for him and his family, and began Family Practice in Tooele in 2022.
He has been a clinical professor for various medical training programs, including for NPs, MDs, and Physician Associates (PA). Also, he has been an associate professor at USC and the University of Utah.
He has come to enjoy his practice in Tooele, forging more than merely professional relationships with his patients and their families. In fact he has several clients where multiple generations of the family all come to him for care. He tries to create a safe and inviting atmosphere for all, with no judgement. He is kink-knowledgeable and eager to help the community.
