Business Description

My name is Katelyn, and I am the founder of Free Spirits Therapy. The name "Free Spirits" originated from my mother who always referred to me as the free spirit of our family. It reflects the journey I've taken, diverging from the familiar path to embrace my truth and individuality. I've faced challenges and moments of doubt, but through it all, I've remained committed to living authentically. I want to empower you to do the same.

At Free Spirits Therapy, I specialize in working with individuals exploring relationships and sexuality, regardless of whether they identify as monogamous or non-monogamous. I am kink and LGBTQ+ friendly and sex-positive, providing a safe space to discuss and understand these aspects of your life.

I have expertise that encompasses depression, anxiety, and substance use disorders, my primary focus lies in harnessing the mind-body connection to facilitate holistic well-being and personal growth. I firmly believe that our desires and emotions are integral to our overall health and vitality.

Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all approach. I meet my clients wherever they are on their journey of change, understanding that each person's path is unique. By rekindling the mind-body connection, my aim is to guide individuals towards a deeper understanding of themselves and their place within their communities.

I hold a Master's in Counseling Psychology from Lewis and Clark College and am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Certified Sex Therapist, and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADCIII). Additionally, I am formally trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

For the past decade, I've worked closely with clients and provided supervision to LPC interns. I am also open to accepting LPC interns for supervision, nurturing the next generation of compassionate therapists.

If you're ready to embark on a journey of self-discovery, empowerment, and healing, I invite you to reach out. Together, we can navigate the complexities of life and unlock your true potential.

Let's break free and embrace the essence of who you areā€”let's embark on this journey together.
