Relationships are at the heart of every important moment in our lives. Whether it be meaningful, beautiful, or traumatic. Through my years of work, I have found that relationships are the key to healing through trauma. By having positive, genuine, here-and-now moments of connections with others, we are able to heal past hurts and learn more about what we need and how we can go about helping ourselves live the best lives possible. And that's where the therapeutic relationship really shines.
With everyone I work with, I aim to find that genuine connection and make the relationship as safe as possible for everyone involved.
While I may be the therapist with the knowledge and experience, you are the expert on you, which is exactly what we're focused on. I will do everything I can to level out the natural power dynamic that comes into therapy. I am on my own path through life and for an hour at a time, I can join you on yours and support you in the ways I can.
I practice from a holistic perspective and incorporate your body, culture, sociopolitical position, and your life context into how I understand you as a person and how we proceed in therapy.
