Sabrina has seven years of experience as a crisis counselor, and has now opened up their own private practice specializing in LGBTQIA+ issues, trauma, anxiety/depression, and ADHD/Autism through Rainbow Head Therapy. The foundation of their counseling style rests on a philosophical background of existentialist and intersectional feminist thought. Person-Centered, Narrative, and Solution-Focused Therapy informs their therapeutic practice. Sabrina is also fandom-friendly, and knowledgeable about issues surrounding online harassment. Holistic wellness is important to them, and they are supportive and knowledgeable concerning issues with sexuality, gender identity, and sex-positive, SSC (safe, sane, consensual kink practices).
Sabrina is nationally certified through the NBCC (the National Board for Certified Counselors) and licensed as a therapist (LMHC) through the state of Washington. They are also a member of the ACA (American Counseling Association), SAIGE (Society for Sexual, Affectional, Intersex, and Gender Expansive Identities), GLMA (Gay & Lesbian Medical Association), and IMHPJ (International Mental Health Providers of Japan). Sabrina's schooling includes a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bellevue University and additional training in emergency/crisis mental health first aid, trauma, Narrative Therapy, CPT, and EMDR. Currently, Sabrina is studying therapeutic applications of tabletop RPGs, presentation and prevalence of ASD/ADHD in queer and AFAB populations, and the effects of COVID & Long COVID on mental health.
In their free time, Sabrina enjoys karaoke, tabletop role-playing games, writing, drawing, photography, video games, and weight-lifting. They are also a massive Star Wars and 80s horror, sci-fi, and fantasy movie nerd!
